Shop Local: Calgary Gift Guide

Finding and giving the perfect gift can be a rewarding experience and it always seems like the perfect gift is not in the overcrowded malls, but the mom-and-pop bakeries, the little side-street boutique that sell unique handmade and handcrafted goods. Interac challenged me to support small businesses by shopping local for the holidays. It’s a way to avoid stress, spend within one’s means and stay in the black, and also, support local shops in one’s community and since paying with Interac Debit and Interac Flash has lower transaction costs for small businesses compared to other payments methods, it’s a win-win.

So here’s a cute little interactive map of my favourite shops in Calgary!

Here’s a rundown of my favourite shops!

The owners of the UNCMNS and Fresh Laundry join forces in this retail shop featuring unique home décor and fashion. The cool terracotta planter I picked up is going to look great on my breakfast bar.
